Primary objective:

Coordinate Darwin Adult Short Courses (DASC) and provide administrative services to support students, teachers and other staff, in the operation of DASC and Darwin Languages Centre (DLC) programs.

Context statement:

Darwin Adult Short Courses is a branch of the Darwin Languages Centre in Ludmilla. DASC runs a range of adult recreational courses most nights of the week (3pm-9pm) and on Saturdays.

Key duties and responsibilities:
• Manage the DASC program, including the recruiting, hiring and supervision of tutors, writing course outlines, advertising, scheduling classes, procuring resources and taking enrolments.
• Manage the DASC website and Facebook pages including updating courses, managing enrolments, course start dates and creating advertisements.
• Respond to emails, phone calls, Facebook and website enquiries from tutors and students.
• Develop and implement a marketing strategy for the Adult Short Courses in consultation with the DLC leadership team.
