Reports to: Supervisor of Child Nutrition Program

General Definition of Work: Performs advanced human support work planning, coordinating, assigning, overseeing and participating as required in the preparation, cooking and serving of food, preparing and maintaining necessary records and files, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Director of Child Nutrition Program. Continuous supervision is exercised over the Child Nutrition Program Assistants.

Essential Functions
• Manages the operations of a school cafeteria; supervises and participates in food preparation and service activities
• Assists in the recruitment and selection of child nutrition program staff; assigns, directs, trains, inspects and evaluates the work of assigned personnel; coaches, counsels and disciplines staff; develops staff schedules
