Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Geophysicist located in Maracaibo, Zulia. In this role, will be used existing 2D/3D seismic surveys, well logs, and production data from Boscan to enhance reservoir characterization and optimize the selection of new well locations. This opportunity allows to play a crucial role in shaping the development of one of Chevron’s largest heavy oil fields, which still holds significant remaining resources. The position requires strong technical leadership and the ability to mentor national earth scientists.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
• Support the development of 30+ new wells annually through Petro Boscan well maturation processes and collaborations with engineering and drilling groups.
• Identify opportunities for improvement of the geological models by incorporating data from seismic.
