SEA FREIGHT MANAGER

Location: Mombasa

Report To: Country Manager

Purpose:

➢ Assist in Developing ocean freight with a focus on product development, revenue growth and operational excellence.

➢ Assist in providing high levels of service delivery with customer focus. Create and develop brand position and increase client base.

Responsibilities:

➢ Actively pursue growth opportunities in coordination the Country Manager to enhance ocean freight business and develop new areas in line with company plan and strategy.

➢ Build business relationships with carriers, negotiate competitive rates for ocean shipments and maintain an updated log with competitive market for improving freight yields.

➢ Maintain an active sales pipeline and manage this pipeline through one view.

➢ Support the sales function in the sales process through customer site visits, contract discussions and negotiating favorable rates with customers.
