Assistant Professor in Hydrology and GIS - Tenure Track

The primary responsibilities of this position will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in hydrology, groundwater hydrology, GIS, and applied topics in GIS or techniques related to the candidate's area of specialization. In addition, the successful candidate will teach introductory undergraduate courses in environmental sciences or geography. SIUE has a strong commitment to teaching and research through the teacher-scholar model, and the successful candidate is expected to be active in the design and teaching of classes that have project-based learning activities, publish scholarly work, promote undergraduate research, supervise and mentor graduate students, and participate in service activities. This position will also complement the Land Surveying and Geomatics program within the School of Engineering.
