My Client in Rochford is looking for a Mechanical Fitter/Field Service Engineer

We are seeking hard-working and capable mechanical engineers to join our team as a fitter, to undertake factory machine assembly and subsequent site installation / servicing.

Job Overview:
• Mechanical assembly of full machines (large mechanical machines, varying degrees of complexity and customisation)
• Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies (e.g. gearboxes, chain drives, leadscrews, bearing housings, etching logos and serial numbers)
• Working to mechanical engineering drawings and specs
• Fault finding, troubleshooting, maintenance and problem solving
• Basic use of tool-room machinery such as drills, saws, lathes and mills etc
• Completion of inspection and quality documents post-assembly
• Packing and crating of machines upon completion
• Field Service work (both domestic and international)

Skills & Qualifications:
• Preferably NVQ / BTEC / HNC / HND (or similar) in engineering related discipline
