Performs manual work in the care and cleaning of assigned facilities, buildings, and grounds, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the assigned supervisor.
• Orders, picks up, stores, distributes, and accounts for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Sweeps and vacuums floors; scrubs and mops assigned areas and rooms; cleans carpets.
• Washes windows, walls, and woodwork.
• Scrubs and cleans restrooms including mirrors, wash basins, urinals, commodes, etc.; fills tissue, towel, and soap dispensers.
• Performs simple building maintenance; makes minor repairs and adjustments.
• Operates machines such as electric floor scrubber and other custodial equipment.
• Keeps grounds, streets, and sidewalks free of debris and trash; sprays weed killer around perimeter of parking lots; removes snow from sidewalks of City and School buildings.
