Summary

This position serves as a Clinical Psychologist in the Emergency Department at the Pine Ridge Service Unit in Pine Ridge, SD. The incumbent provides comprehensive mental health services via telehealth to pediatric, adolescent, adult and elderly patients. The position reports to the Emergency Department Director.
• Provides a wide range of psychosocial, cultural and environmental problems particular to an American Indian population.
• Completes risk assessment, screening for psychological disorders and crisis interventions.
• Serves as a psychological consultant for the Emergency Department.
• Provides behavioral health crisis intervention and related mental health services to individuals eligible for services.
• Coordinates outpatient care and assures timely follow-up care as required.
