Batemans Bay Heritage Museum is operated by the Clyde River and Batemans Bay Historical Society, which acknowledges Aboriginal people as the traditional custodians of the land on which they work and live. The museum collects and preserves historical artefacts and stories relating to the Batemans Bay region. The Society was founded in 1977 and has operated its volunteer run Musuem since the early 1980s. To date our focus has been on the post European social history of our region. We are working through a process to capture our rich maritime history and heritage that stretches back over 20,000 years and have set a launch date that coincides with our Society's 50th anniversary in July 2027.
