Position Objective:

Functioning as a team player, the Medical Laboratory Technologist will support all staff in the provision of quality laboratory services to assist physicians and other health care providers in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. This includes performing quality laboratory testing according to legislative requirements in all of the following specialties: Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine and specimen collection and handling.

The Medical Laboratory Technologist will focus on continuous monitoring and improvement of practices in order to meet or exceed our patient/client needs and will support the mission, vision and values as determined by the Niagara Health System while providing safe and competent patient/client care.
