Radiation Protection Engineer

Your role

You will work in the team that deals with the technical aspects of integrating radiation protection in the design of the PALLAS reactor, in close collaboration with the Radiation Protection Unit (SBE). On a daily basis, you will review engineering documents relating to radiation protection, shielding calculations and various radiation measurement devices. You will also support PALLAS colleagues, for instance in the assessment of the Safety Analysis Report (SAR), radiation protection procedures, procurement and, for instance, reporting to regulatory authorities. So that means many contacts with other disciplines within the PALLAS organisation and with various external stakeholders. Your work is now concentrated at our head office in Alkmaar, but will move towards the reactor construction site in Petten as the project progresses.
