This position is located in the United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO), duty station Goma. Goma is classified at "D" hardship and it is a non- family duty station. The Aviation Safety Officer will be based in Goma and reports to the Chief Aviation Safety Officer (CASO).

Responsibilities
Within delegated authority, the Aviation Safety Officer will be responsible for the following duties: • Participates in the development and Implement the Mission Aviation Safety Programme (MASP). • Participates in the development of the Aviation Emergency Response Plan and ensure that it is communicated to all officials concerned. • Supports the coordination and organization of aviation safety drills and exercises required by the Mission Aviation Safety Programme (MASP). • Monitors the integration of Aviation Risk Management into UN aviation activities. • Develops quarterly Risk Assessment Indicators and analyze the level of safety...
