Job Duties:
We operate a farm that needs extra help during the planting, growing and harvesting seasons of corn, wheat, oats, rye, millet and soybeans. We also have livestock which we need additional help during the calving season and after weaning to help with feeding. Feeding is only seasonal because the rest of the year the cows are out on pasture grazing. We start calving in May and our calving season typically runs 45 days. We then need assistance during the weaning season which occurs in October. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, manure spreaders, operate other farm equipment, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms...
