GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To be responsible for planning, developing, implementation and participation in all aspects of federal, state and local highway safety programs in Rhode Island; to serve as the chief liaison officer for the Governor’s Representative to the National Highway Safety Agency an representatives of state departments and officials of cities and towns; and to do related work as required.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the general supervision of a superior with wide latitude for the exercise of independent judgement; work is reviewed for conformance to the provisions of laws, regulations and policies.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Plans, organizes, directs, supervises and reviews the work of a professional and clerical staff.
