Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for an Analytical Chemist located in Mwanza. The Analytical Chemist will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials. They will also operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments, and prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field
• Experience with analytical chemistry techniques, including spectroscopy, chromatography, and wet chemistry methods
• Experience with laboratory equipment and instrumentation, and ability to troubleshoot and maintain instruments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and chemical handling procedures
