A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for helping Pharmacists to filling and labeling

prescriptions, interacting with customers to answer questions or give them their prescriptions,

and ensuring the availability of medication and delivering medications to the right patients

Responsibilities

Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking and distributing medications

 Accepting written prescriptions, counting prescription medication, filling prescriptions, and

typing and attaching medication labels.

 Maintaining records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians

 Sorting, stocking and labeling medications and monitoring inventory

 Complying with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy,

such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces

 Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete

 Performing inventory audits and purchasing supplies and medication.
