We are looking for...

...a highly motivated Research Associate to join our Research department.

Your tasks
• Antimicrobial susceptibility testing of new compounds
• Resistance development and time-kill studies
• Maintenance of strain collection
• Development and implementation of bacterial whole cell assays
• Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) and microscopy phenotyping
• Computer-assisted data analysis
• Documentation of results in electronic lab notebook, databases and reports
• Contribution to the maintenance and running of the microbiology Lab
• Presentation of results

Your profile
• MSc in microbiology or equivalent technician training (e.g. apprenticeship)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in research in a microbiology lab in the pharmaceutical industry
• Extensive expertise in microbiological techniques
• Experience with biochemical techniques and FACS would be an asset
• Experience in working in a BL2 environment is a must
