Role Purpose

Responsible for the smooth operation of the Sylvania Central Compliance and Analytical Laboratories. Take a personal lead in practical aspects of product testing, failure mode analysis and documentation of results.

Key Responsibilities
• Practical testing of products & components to check for compliance with standards.
• Use and application of national & international standards, regulations, directives.
• Perform a wide range of electrical, thermal, optical, radio & materials-related tests.
• Co-operation with Quality & R+D colleagues to support new product developments.
• Produce detailed technical reports and compliance documentation.
• Identify production transgressions and participate in problem-solving activities.
• Maintenance, development and improvement of company testing facilities, including calibration monitoring, setup of tests and issue work procedures.
