Student Support Assistants (25 hours pw)

Our welcoming Timaru Campus is seeking to appoint two Student Support Assistants (Teacher Aides) on a part-time (25 hours per week), fixed term basis until December 2024.
• Role 1 - supporting secondary aged students (Year 9-13) in both a classroom setting and in our well-resourced learning centre.
• Role 2 - supporting primary aged students (Year 3-8) in small groups and on a one-to-one basis in our well-resourced learning centre.

Both roles are fixed term as our student support needs are assessed annually and if the needs remain, the roles will be extended beyond December.

While induction will be provided, the following experience and skills are essential:
• Recent experience working with young people, particularly those at a similar age range.
• Experience supporting young people with learning challenges.
