Basic Purpose

The Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing production plans, manpower requirements, and projected inventory levels that best meet the sales forecast while considering various manufacturing constraints and company objectives.

Responsibilities
• Analyzes monthly forecasts to establish or modify production levels 6 months into the future.
• Plans product mix in Master Production Schedule to accommodate monthly forecasts.
• Plans production levels to minimize inventory levels while assuring material availability for manufacturing.
• Teaches planners in matters of product structure, production processes and the company’s scheduling practices.
• Observes planner’s scheduling activities to ensure consistency with Master Scheduling and inventory objectives.
• Rebuilds and reconciles Master Production Schedule weekly.
• Maintains requirements in MRP for components of master scheduled items.
