NorthamptonLocal authority in the Northamptonshire area are looking for a private sector housing officer for an initial period of three months, likely to be ongoing. Purpose of the role: The main purpose of the role is to carry out property inspections under HHSRS. Complete and submit the teams performance data, government returns and assist with audit data for grants. To reduce the instances of fuel poverty through promotion of grants and advice. To record information on file and the Council's database in a timely and accurate fashion and to produce summary reports. To receive, record, assess and validation private sector housing grant applications. Investigate complaints of poor housing standards and actively seek to remedy any defects including enforcement. Provide advice on housing standards, houses in multiple occupation, radon and landlord disputes.
