What does an R&D role involve ?
• R&D's function is to test, measure and investigate all aspects of the mechanical and structural systems of the Aston Martin Formula 1 car.
• Our input is needed in hugely diverse areas of the car including chassis safety and crash testing, suspension behaviour, power unit systems and cooling, wings and structural bodywork as well as brakes and driver controls.
• Working with design we will understand the demands and requirements of each critical part then design factory rigs and fixturing which allow us to test that part in as close to on-car conditions as possible.
