Job Summary

Teaching Assistants are in Primary classrooms primarily to support the academic success and social-emotional development of students.

This can take many formats and is different from class to class. While Assistants are always under the supervision of teachers to best meet the unique needs of students, we look upon the adults in each room as a teaching team.

Specific Responsibilities
