FLIGHT PHYSICIAN

Role

This is a one year contract and successful recruits will be based in Mogadishu.

Key Responsibilities
• Team leader in the evaluation, coordination and delivery of emergency care provided to patients during air transport. Works with other members in ensuring that Patient safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.
• Participate in pre-flight checking of medical equipment and supplies when necessary and requests additional supplies as needed specific to patient’s condition and needs, based on available patient report and distance of transport.
• Participate in loading and securing equipment in the aircraft.
• Participate in Pre-Flight debriefing with other members of the medical team, pilots and flight coordinator.
