As our Group Financial Accountant you'll be a key member of the Financial Reporting Team supporting the business in ensuring the Group’s financial results are reported accurately and inline with IFRS.

What will the role involve?
• Responsibility for calculations and postings relating to key financial reporting areas such as Halfords’ Motoring Club, Cycle2Work scheme, Warranty revenue, Gift card breakage
• Reconciling the Retail businesses Sales and Margin between the Point of Sales system and accounting system
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for balance sheet accounts within your areas of - responsibility
• Ownership of an area of the balance sheet, and assisting in providing commentary on monthly movements in this area
• Engage with the Group’s external auditors for your areas of responsibility, including producing and updating accounting papers for new standards, key areas of judgement, and estimates used by management
