We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to embark on a development journey and join our specialist community midwifery team for women with vulnerabilities - the Indigo Team. The post holder will work alongside our dynamic community midwifery teams, to be able to reach out to the women and families that are most in need and provide tailored antenatal and postnatal care to meet their needs. We believe that utilising specialist, trained maternity support workers will make a significant difference to the accessibility of services and maternity experiences and outcomes to vulnerable families.

The South Tees NHS Trust provides maternity services to women and families from across Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland. These areas are some of the most deprived in the country with Middlesbrough ranking in the top 5 most deprived areas of the UK and 40% of its wards being in the top 3% most deprived nationally.
