Do you want to help a refugee with the Dutch language? Are you available for at least six months, one and a half hours per week? The Netherlands Council for Refugees, Den Helder location, is immediately looking for volunteer language coaches.

Refugees with a residence permit are required to follow an integration course. In this course, given by professional teachers, they learn the Dutch language and are introduced to our society. But many refugees could use some support. That is why the Netherlands Council for Refugees is looking for enthusiastic language coaches.

What you do as a language coach:
As a language coach you help a refugee increase his language skills. You meet for an hour and a half every week and practice the language by, for example:
-to have conversations
-to do homework
-read a (newspaper) article
-watch TV together
-to go out together
