The Nurse Practitioner in the Airdrie Urgent Care Centre will function as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team, demonstrating a range of theoretical, practical and research based therapeutic practices. Reporting to the Manager, the NP will work autonomously to perform extended health services that include restricted activities as per the standards and values of the Nurse Practitioner role, providing care within their full scope of practice as defined by Schedule 24 of the Health Professions Act and CRNA. Within the Urgent Care setting these responsibilities will include: Complete assessments of patients presenting to the Urgent Care department. Order, interpret and perform diagnostic tests / procedures / laboratory investigations within the NP scope of practice.
