Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for two experienced and motivated Senior Project Managers to join the Waste Regulatory Reforms Programme. These are temporary roles until the end of March 2025 however there is the possibility of extension, subject to funding.

Defra’s Resources and Waste Strategy identified a number of reforms to waste regulation to help us drive towards a circular economy. Implementing this portfolio of legislative reforms is a ‘once in a generation’ opportunity to make a seismic shift in the way waste and resources is managed in this country.

You will:
• Lead project management/support programme management
• establish best practice
• Identify success criteria
• Monitor, control and report on progress
• Manage dependencies of varying complexity
• Identify blockers and manage risks
• Help provide leadership in a programme which works at pace and is successful
• Work in an inclusive and integral way within the Programme
