The Health & Safety Advisor is knowledgeable in safety management and supports the continual improvement of Health and Safety performance at our 12 locations. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Health & Safety Advisor provides advice, training and support to the local Co-op on a wide variety of activities including the development, implementation and maintenance of health and safety programs. The Advisor is responsible for inspections, incident investigations, hazard and risk analyses, health and safety training (including induction, forklift, and propane), providing leadership to workplace safety committees, auditing and reporting, and vendor management. The Health and Safety advisor ensures compliance with, and maintaining of, all applicable legislation and regulations. Travel required to all Boundary Co-op locations to conduct site inspections, training, onboarding, etc.
