Summary

The Mechanical Engineering Technologist (MET) is primarily responsible for the completion of tank trailer/vacuum trailer designs from concept to production using AutoCAD and Inventor 3D. The MET interprets customer driven specifications to arrive at a design and produce the working drawings for estimation and fabrication. The MET must research and apply Canadian and United States motor vehicle safety standards, provincial and state weight laws, and Codes relating to the transportation of dangerous goods. The MET will review plans and confer with internal stakeholders to meet project specifications, complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets .

Position Requirements/Qualifications
• Technical Applied Science Diploma
• Proficiency using AutoCAD and invention 3D
