We are recruiting an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to join our team to start a newly funded Welbio research program, starting as early as June 2024.

In the REGULATE research program (WEL Research Institute), we aim to decipher the mechanisms regulating the effector functions of a particular population of memory T lymphocytes named virtual memory T cells (TVM), stimulated during the immune response against parasitic worms, and involving the cytokine interleukin 4 (IL-4). The research project is based on recent work from the laboratory: Rolot et al. 2018, Petrellis et al., 2023, Yang et al., 2023 (preprint).

The objective of the project is to harness the potential of TVM to develop alternative strategies of intervention and improve host protection against infections.
