Welder/Fabricator: Job Description

Founded in 1997, Militec ltd is a small family business specialising in the design and manufacture of small arms target systems for Military, Police and Commercial customers worldwide – see www.militec.co.uk

Militec are looking for an experienced and creative Welder/ Fabricator to join our small mechanical department in a full-time position.

Your role will be to manufacture and develop a wide range of electro-mechanical devices to include production and prototyping.

Required skills:

· MIG and TIG Welding to a high standard

· Ability to weld/fabricate with a wide range of materials

· Fabrication of complex enclosures, sub-structures and linkages

· Experienced with small tools, grinders, press drills, lathes, guillotine, bandsaw, bender and forklift.

· Understanding of engineering procedures, fabrication processes and shop drawings

· Familiarity and compliance with safe working practices and QA standard
