Mission

The Dean of the Computer Science (CS) department reports directly to the Dean of the College of Engineering & Architecture.

This role encompasses comprehensive responsibility for academic leadership and school administration. The dean oversees administrative operations, formulates strategic initiatives for the school, contributes to long-term planning and policy establishment at the college and university levels.

Providing high-level administrative leadership, the dean focuses on areas such as curriculum development, faculty academic affairs, student life, institutional assessment and improvement, human resources, faculty evaluation, promotion, and career development.

Additionally, the Dean manages the school's budget and finances, collaborate on facilities planning and management, and foster partnerships with industry, foundations, and government organizations.
