Introduction

Our client, a well-established and reputable short term insurance brokerage based in the Umhlanga area, is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join their dynamic team.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage and Administrator a portfolio of clients on behalf of Client Executives.
• Determine premiums on mandated business.
• Obtain new business quotations from Insurers and prepare Excel presentations or Flexi schedules for Client Executives.
• Obtain renewal terms from Insurers or determine renewal terms on mandated Insurers.
• Prepare Renewals including Excel Spreadsheets/Reports on certain accounts for Client Executives
• Attend to emails and client queries timeously.
• Filing of documents
• Assist with difficult claims within the portfolio.
• Be deadline driven.
• Know policy wordings and the Binder functions
• Able to work independently.
• Have a vast knowledge of insurance products in the market
