Job Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified, experienced, and self-motivated Lead Voice and Data Engineer to be based at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.

Working as a key member of the Voice and Data team within the ICT department, the successful candidate will be responsible, in a lead project role, for the development, installation, and on-going operational management and support of the Health Board’s voice and data infrastructure.

Ideally, the post holder should have a relevant degree/HND and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), and /or extensive equivalent experience of:
• Data Networking Technologies (including switching and routing principles, and LAN and WAN)
• Network Protocols (TCP/IP and Ethernet)
• Voice and Video Communication Technologies (including Cisco Call Manager IP Telephony)
• Network Security Technologies (including application layer Firewall and Intrusion Prevention Systems)
• Wireless Networking Technologies
