What does an apprenticeship at Ian Williams involve?

Being an Apprentice at Ian Williams, gives you the opportunity to be “hands on” and learn on the job, you will combine a combination of college and practical learning to study your chosen trade. You will get the opportunity to put your new skills into practice, while supported by the expert guidance of our experienced tradespeople - your own mentor.

What will I be doing?

The specific type of work will vary contract to contract, the types of tasks we cover include:
• Measuring and Prepping
• 1st fix
• 2nd fix
• Repair and maintenance
• Although our work is predominantly domestic, you may also work on commercial sites depending on your unit’s contracts.
