The Company

Smith’s SuperValu, Monksland, Athlone, Co Westmeath, Ireland is a busy supermarket located in the suburbs of Athlone. Athlone is a large town with many amenities, only 1 hour from west Dublin.

The Position

We are now looking to recruit an experienced baker. The role will include producing the following products from scratch/semi scratch:

· Rolls

· French Baguettes

· Bloomers and Cobs

· Scones

· Muffins

· Soda Bread

· Sponge Cakes

There is no night work with the bakery, current shifts are 6am – 3pm, 5 days over 7. Shifts are subject to change depending on the requirements of the business. This is a full-time position.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in producing a high volume of yeast breads/rolls, be reliable, a team player, have a high standard of work, and with the ability to produce a high volume of breads. Confectionery experience is beneficial.
