We are seeking applications for a Farm Assistant to work out our Lincoln based research dairy farm.

This is not your ordinary farm role. We value work/life balance in a teaching environment - you will be working an average of 45 hours per week, paid on a salary basis.

Work with state-of-the-art machinery and gain valuable skills working with experienced farm managers who are industry professionals and passionate about staff development.

The Lincoln University Research Dairy Farm (LURDF) consists of 55 ha of irrigated land and is currently milking 200 cows seasonally. Cows are milked in a 12 aside double up herringbone cowshed with the latest DeLaval milking systems. The farm is run as a research unit on all aspects of dairy production with the objective of conducting research on dairy production systems.

Day to day tasks will vary but likely will be a mixture of:
• Milking
• Checking cows for mastitis and other issues
