The position sits in the Ministry of Water, Land, Resource Stewardship but will be assigned to work with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (AF). AF is responsible for the production, marketing, processing and merchandising of agriculture, food and seafood products. The Sector Insights & Corporate Priorities Unit is responsible for corporate priority initiatives related to program evaluation, digital strategy, and data management. The unit also provides economic expertise and statistical analysis to inform ministry policy and program development.

The business analyst will work to deliver cost effective information technology solutions to Ministry of Agriculture and Food program areas.
