Curbside Education Assistant

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for two temporary summer Curbside Education Assistant positions in the Recycling & Waste Management Division within the Operations Department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Recycling & Waste Management, the Curbside Education Assistant will work on a team to perform curbside recycling audits this summer. Duties will include educate residents about acceptable and non-acceptable curbside recycling material; sticker curbside recycling totes with oops sticker or good job sticker; record totes with high contamination; coordinate routes and work hours with CVRD staff and curbside drivers; and other related tasks as required.
• Preferred candidates will be enrolled in an Environmental Studies or related technical program, and/or have demonstrated interest, involvement or experience in environmental initiatives.
