A fully funded Ph.D. opening at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, is available for candidates with a strong interest in applying and developing mathematical programming techniques for optimal design of modular structures, mechanisms, and/or (meta-)materials. The position will be jointly supervised by Michal KoÄ vara, Marek Tyburec, and Jan Zeman (in alphabetical order).

The candidate will be embedded in the 4.5-year EU-funded ROBOPROX project, which integrates leading researchers in control, optimization, robotics, computational methods, and automated manufacturing. The offer brings a great opportunity for interdisciplinary and international collaboration.
