We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our small Point Of Care Testing (POCT) team in York Laboratory Medicine. POCT provide and support an efficient and high-quality diagnostic service, providing analysers used by healthcare professionals at the point of patient care.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) working in POCT in York you will assist with the quality provision of the POCT laboratory service. This will include technical analysis and maintenance of POCT analysers, supporting quality assurance and troubleshooting.
• To follow quality control procedures as set out in the departmental instructions.
• To prepare and distribute samples for external quality assurance to ward/departments.
