Duties & Responsibilities

Industry: FMCG

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 certificate or relevant NQF level 4 qualification.

A recognized Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate.

Minimum of 5 years post trade experience as a Diesel Mechanic

Valid driver’s license.

Fluent in English and Afrikaans (Speak, Read and Write)

Duties & Responsibilities:

The main purpose of this position is to take responsibility for the repair and maintenance of all Light Delivery, Service vehicles and Plant machines, i.e. Front-end loaders, Forklifts, Service trucks, Generators, etc. and related equipment according to sound practice and equipment specifications.

Take ownership of the machines or vehicles to be maintained by them, advising the foreman on the current condition of vehicles and advising on best solutions for maintenance.
