The purpose of this position is to oversee the microbial segment of research and development. Optimize fermentation methods, develop new methods, & research to develop new technologies to make them commercially viable, to prepare the scale-up, to write methods and procedures. Contribute to and support the quality control of finished products and raw materials.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

The following are essential job functions.
• Develop new or improve existing culture medium for microbial strains.
• Develop new or improve existing fermentation process parameters, such as, batch or fed batch or other related feeding strategies.
• Develop new or improve downstream processes to improve spore quality and count.
• Develop strategies to improve the overall reliability and productivity of fermentation processes
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations, based upon research outcomes.
