SUMMARY:

Hospital
pharmacists’ duties include administrative duties, clinical service patient
care, drug distribution, drug control, ensuring medication safety, and
activities for quality and performance improvement. Hospital Pharmacist serves
patients by preparing medications, giving pharmacological information to the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and monitoring patient drug therapies.

II.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:

v Dispensing Pharmacist

Ø Fills and dispenses
all requisitions from different nursing care units and special areas.

Ø Checks displays on the
shelves and composes requisitions of medicines from the main pharmacy.

Ø Answers telephone
inquiries.

Ø Responsible for the
cleanliness of the shelves assigned to her/him and monitors the expiry dates of
drugs on those shelves in accordance with the pull-out policy.

Ø Does physical
inventory on the assigned shelves every first week of the month. All expiry
