The Operations Technician is responsible for providing site services to R&D teams including goods receiving, shipping and laboratory services. This includes the receipt and distribution of incoming materials/purchased goods, organizing outgoing shipments to all UK and International destinations, and distributing chemicals/reagents to lab areas. It also involves managing supplies of lab gases, liquid nitrogen, and dry ice. Additional responsibilities include collection of biohazard/solvent waste, regular equipment checks and distribution of daily post and catering deliveries. The role also includes responsibility for conducting specific routine laboratory support functions such as media, solution and chemical preparation when required.
