Summary Job

Administrative support in launching new programs from prototype phase to production launch, including cost estimation, bill of materials (BOM), supplier selection and transfer to commodity purchasing.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the purchasing area in the following fields
• technical evaluations of new components.
• evaluation of component value mapping to optimize costs.
• cost estimates for new components using information from existing components and suppliers.
• development and maintenance of BOMs with costs and maintenance of BOM cost history.
• tracking RFQs for prototypes and production.
• issuing purchase orders (PO) for tooling for new programs.
