Senior Contracts Lawyer for 13 week assignment Location: Mainly working from home but must be able to attend offices in Northampton

Description:

Provide legal advice to members and officers of the Council, in relation predominantly, but not exclusively to the following areas of legal practice:

• Procurement and contracts

• Partnerships

• Charities and companies

• General commercial and contract work

• G Cloud contracts

• JCT & NEC

• Inter Authority Agreements

including attending and advising decision-making bodies of the Council as required.

1.3 The effective and efficient preparation and processing in a timely manner of all legal documents (including contracts, agreements, deeds, notices, orders and consents) relevant to the role of the post-holder.

1.4 Preparation of precedents and checklists and standard forms and the development and implementation of the Council’s corporate governance framework.
