Introduction

Plan, direct, control and coordinate the Picking and Spray Operations in an effective and efficient manner

Duties & Responsibilities
• To ensure that the farming unit remains sustainable and that production goals in terms of tonnage and pack out are achieved.
• To create a culture of continuous improved productivity and excellence, in order to achieve expectations, neutralising rising cost and ensuring sustainability of the farming unit by monitoring daily the following areas:
• Crop Protection, picking.
• Monitor daily activities such as chemical application, harvesting practices, and to ensure adherence to safety regulations or standards (e.g. export standards, GlobalGAP and SIZA).
• Ensure optimisation of fleet Utilisation at Picking and Spray.
• Ensure optimisation of chemical applications according to the scheduled program. Ensure the right quantity is given at the right time.
• Ensure the effective and efficient management of Picking and Spray Teams.
